Ever. Supernatural horror usually scares me more than realistic plots, but I can’t think of many actual creature reveals that unnerve me.
The Invisible Man understands how scary an absent predator is.

If you don’t know, watch it-it’s not bad. It’s on my watchlist! Is there some sort of creature you find objectionable or particularly gross?I’ve heard mixed things about Splinter but I’ve heard it’s got a cool spin on things!I love body horror - I know there’s different ideas of it but something like Hellraiser, Videodrome and Reanimator I thoroughly enjoyed. :)R/HORROR, known as Dreadit by our subscribers is the premier horror entertainment community on Reddit. It follows a woman who believes she is being stalked by her abusive and wealthy boyfriend even after his apparent suicide, and ultimately deduces that he has acquired the ability to become invisible. Like The Blob is a creature feature (and the remake is amazing btw). We Need a New ‘Legend of Zelda’ Cartoon One of the coolest creatures in years.I loved The Ritual! So he loses all of his ‘whuffie’ for killing his friend, and he becomes virtually invisible. If you want campy, Toxic Avenger and Street Trash (can’t believe I recommended Street Trash to someone...)I didn’t even think about Night Breed - it was partly filmed in my hometown! We were intrigued to see how Blumhouse interpreted the film.
… Eventually they had to give her this other power, which involves creating a force field to protect the team, because when you’re fighting giant alien monsters that are destroying New York City, invisibility is just not that useful.”Visit WIRED Photo for our unfiltered take on photography, photographers, and photographic journalism Visit WIRED Photo for our unfiltered take on photography, photographers, and photographic journalism Use of and/or registration on any portion of this site constitutes acceptance of our I heard something like that happened with “There’s a character in [the book] who kills his best friend, and in theory in this world it doesn’t matter, because everyone uploads their memories, so you can re-load into a clone body and it’s just an inconvenience, but it’s still socially unacceptable to kill your best friend.
They’re more human in shape and form (and are supposed to be modelled after cave people who stayed underground) but I think that isn’t super obvious.Came here say The Ritual.
What It’s Like to Work at Studio Ghibli As an abuse survivor, the continuous (literally) invisible physical and emotional torture was palpable. I’ll have to check out both Blobs, and Underwater. The tense thriller stars Elisabeth Moss as Cecilia, a woman in an abusive relationship with a sadistic scientist named Adrian who's managed to turn himself invisible to continue torturing her. Even the machines won’t see him at that point, and it’s really terrifying.”“Thinking about invisibility in the context of gender makes me think about The Fantastic Four, where the one female member of The Fantastic Four is the Invisible Girl, Sue Storm.
"The Invisible Man" premiered on Friday, and is now the number one movie in the world, following a successful weekend at the box office. I think it can get wishy washy at times (like is the Mummy a creature feature?) The Thing, Underwater, Night Breed, all good “scary” creature movies. Throughout several points in the movie I had to pause and take a break it was so deeply triggering to me. And they ran up against this issue where there wasn’t that much that she could do. I think what was supposed to happen in that scene is that she only escapes from the closet because the dog—who likes her and doesn’t like Adrian—attacks Adrian, and then she’s able to escape because of that.
I find that sometimes the most realistic the body horror, the more likely I am to flinch.
The newest trailer for the reboot looked heart racing but did not seem to follow the original storyline. Creature features would be their own subgenre as well I think like the Creature from the Black Lagoon, Pumpkinhead, The Mist.Check out The Void from 2016. The original Invisible Man, released in 1933, is one of our favorite tragic tales. Another fan added: "ok ok so The Invisible Man was fucking terrifying so if you’re looking for me this weekend I’ll be hiding under my blankets with Moana on repeat".
I enjoyed the overall creepy vibe but if I remember correctly I was a bit disappointed by how the end wrapped up.Annihilation isn’t a creature feature as such but...well..you know.
