Next day we visited the site that we’d reserved and were happy with our choice of staying indoors, although it looked quite pleasant if the weather had permitted. WiFi is almost unusable (we stayed in a lot in the middle of the campground), cell phone coverage poor for Verizon and T-Mobile. Located just 6 miles southwest of the great city of Charleston, this campground is one that immediately captured our hearts. My thing on that is no fenced off part if u don’t want your dog in the water. Veer right on to highway 17 south over the Ashley River. My only complaint about the campground would be the bath house. We started as tent campers 12 years ago and return each year, now with a pop up, when school is over. Lots of other activities for kids and adults - walking trails, disc golf course, climbing wall, nature course, dog park, fishing dock, and kayak/sup rentals.
