Lobster crab gratin appetizer was fabulous and so were short rib tacos. Beautiful atmosphere.We traveled to Louisville to experience the history and ambiance of the city. Can we come in and get drinks and that appetizer. The lovely tables set up in the lushly appointed bar room were fancy yet casual. I would highly recommend the Bar at the Brown Hotel.Service was great and it was a perfect choice for Dinner before a show at the Palace.I’ve never been treated so rudely by restaurant’s management staff. As far as food, we ordered the fries and of course the Hot Brown. When I asked to be seated at another table all I heard was excuses about how busy they were and that they had given us “a table“ and they were sorry I was disappointed - but they were clearly not sorry.

It was great parking in the garage for the event fee of $10 which prevented us from having to walk in the rain from one venue to the other. The only problem was when we arrived, they had seated someone else at our table! Not too many tables and a small bar. Absolutely wonderful experience. He assured me there was many choices and good food on the Lobby Bar menu. We had the wings- delicious! Thanks so much for dining with us. We go out of our way to create an excellent working environment for our employees, just as we aspire to create a memorable experience for our guests.
A lot of history with this bar and the hotel in general. The nostalgic atmosphere was terrific. I never complain, but I am still in incensed with regard to how we were treated by the two management staff who seated us. I was worried that I should have made our resevation in your main dining area. The ambience is perfect, the service great and the food delicious! Also, which cherry do you use? Very friendly staff! Some of us got the signature Hot Brown (shared and served in separate dishes) and of course a serving of Derby Pie and the very special "Striptease" dessert. Also, the valet service was appreciated; the lobby gift shop is...Dear Guest, I would suggest staying at the hotel, enjoying the bar and attending a show at The Palace.Old World, elegant decor and service. One of the best food I've ever had. The food and service was very good. On the plus side, our server was very nice and attentive and the drinks and food were excellent. The Brown Hotel is a historic 16-story hotel in downtown Louisville, Kentucky, U.S., located on the corner of Fourth and Broadway.It contains 294 rooms and over 24,000 ft² of meeting space. We had jeans on- after all it was a bar- and we were not out of place. Hope to have you back with us...We enjoyed the classic Brown Hotel lunch. YOU MUST GET THE HOT BROWN - WOW! He was correct on both. Clearly they thought this was “OK“ which is really disappointing.
