TRICARE Prime is a managed-care health insurance option available to all eligible military beneficiaries that are not entitled to Medicare (are age 65 or older) in Prime Service Areas of the East and West Regions of TRICARE. You are required to actively enroll since there is no automatic enrollment in the TRICARE Prime plans, even if you are an active duty service member.
