Metaphysics has the particular benefit of specializing in alternative ways of representing and understanding the world - once you learn how to impart these 'Copernican revolutions' in thought you will find yourself in a perpetually interesting world.All that said, I would suggest considering a major in Philosophy rather than Metaphysics alone; without background in stuff like epistemology, aesthetics, philosophy of science, and the history of philosophy especially, you'll likely miss some of the important stuff in Metaphysics.Metaphysics can help you in many ways.

I just thought she had a really awesome story to tell me. Going based on my own assumptions of it, I could argue that studying and attempting to discover things about the universe, while we could never reach it in our lifetime, tell us about where we came from and the history of the world.
