The book taught me lots of great things which actually improved my game. He himself has beaten John McEnroe in a major open. I'm happy to recommend this book to anyone for it's iAs an avid tennis player, Brad Gilbert's book has many helpful pointers. I have to thank a player like Brad who unfortunately didn’t have the talent to win grand slams and be a super star but had the mental toughness to outthink his opponents to the tune of 5 million some dollars won on the professional atp tour. The frustration is however is every time I am on the court now I keep telling myself - I have READ about this but what DID it say I need to do in this situation? His ideas of preparation, focus, execution and adaptation can help a player of any level. He has beaten the Tour's biggest names - all by playing his ugly game.
