Children born in 1996 would’ve been too young to have attended school by 2000, but would’ve started school in 2000.Like Mid 2000s to roughly early 2020s, IDK I feel like everyone born in the 2010s should be the true Gen Zer's since they're the iPad babies. But at the same time, I still think the cutoff should be 2009I'm going to go with 1994 as I see growing up on YouTube and 9/11 being big dividers between Y and Z.People born a bit earlier also could technically say they grew up on YouTube, but being 7 years old on 9/11 is the oldest I'd go to say someone is Gen Z imo, and if it were based on 9/11 alone, I'd say '96 is the start, but I think there's more to our generation than not remembering 9/11, which is why I'd start it in 1994.I'd have to go with 1995 or 1996 so, if we're going by 9/11.
Why exactly do you feel you have nothing in common with the 1997-1999 people?Someone born in 1997 would have graduated in the middle part of the decade (2015-16) while I was entering high school, meaning they started high school in an earlier part of the decade (2011-12). 1994-1996 would lean more Y since they reached the midpoint (8th birthday) in 2002-2004, while 1997-1999 would lean more Z since they reached the midpoint in 2005-2007.1993 is the last safe Y birthyear since they turned 11 in 2004. 2019-2021 is Early Z.
And I have never seen 1992-1994 being the start of Gen Z so I don't get why some people consider them to be Zillennials.
Gen Z born even 2005> will be a lot different from Gen Z born in the earlier years just because of the huge shift in technology and politics.
You guys have the excuse to pretty much do whatever you want to do and fun things you can't get away with in a few years, so cherish these moments.
I believe the first "true" year of Gen Z is people born in 1999 or 2000, so either the Class of 2017 or 2018 is when I believe Gen Z is in full swing. anyone who graduated from How would someone born in 1992 lean towards Gen Z? 1993 and preceding would have no Gen Z traits whatsoever and would be Core Gen Y.Eh, I wouldn't. By the time my graduating class (2020) came into high school, Trump got elected (of which we didn't participate due to us not being at voter age), Gucci Gang and Fortnight became popular, and Parkland happened, the latter of which defines our graduating class (Seniors would have been born in early 2000, so they were about ready to graduate, leaving mostly people born in early 2001 as the people who had the most presence in this event).i kind of get what you're talking about. This is even more true if the person in question born in that year is the oldest sibling of their family, whereas being the youngest sibling born in the cusp range will pull one more to the millenial side because of such young exposure to culture.Regarding the electropop era, I would say that ended early 2013, and Summer 2013 was a different era and the true start of the 2010s feel. People born in 1999 would have entered high school in 2014, when skinny-jeans were still popular, and rap hadn't taken off.
As a Gen Z who uses reddit, I'm not really sure. level 2. Now pure Gen Z doesn't equal core Gen Z.1997-2001 have no core gen Z traits at all and are purely early Gen Z.Years 2011-2014 also have no core Gen Z traits and I consider them to ether be purely late Gen Z or apart of the Gen Z/Gen Alpha cusp. i'm class of 2018 myself and i've always felt like class of 2019 is almost interchangeable with my class while class of 2020 onwards very much feels like a new generationi think anyone whose grad class ends with teen is on the cusp, so classes 2013 through 2019, and 2020 is the first "solidly Z" class. I think 2012 is a bit too late and 2009 is a better end date. Most market analysts (the people that matter, as generation definitions are important for marketing purposes) have it at 1995.Early should be around 1998.
People born in this year range can relate to both solid millenials and solid Gen Z but aren't really fully either generation due to life experiences. 2004 onwards would have no millennial traits whatsoever and would be Core Gen Z. I remember the first YouTube video I watched was in the first grade (2008). The reason I chose 2009 is because the difference between the age groups. I also personally think Gen Z starts in 1994 and ends in 2009.
