The only significant concern is that the game can be frustrating, both because of its steep learning curve and its overreliance on mission puzzles, and even that concern is negligible when put in perspective to the achievements of the game. An amazing game for an old timer.

nearly two decades have passed, and I still think about this game when I play any new space-based game. Though I never got to far into it, helping a struggling mining colony by pirating food from the local Corp, and receiving vital explosives in return, gives the universe a sense of having real people. I'm still looking for a space-sim game to be that good since then.

The graphics were excellent, the Newtonian physics were a fantastic touch that really made piloting the ship a lot of fun. nothing beats it and i have yet to find anything which paralells or even comes close to the sheer realism and flexability of the game. nearly two decades have passed, and I still think about this game when I play any new space-based game.
