Ooooops. Sycamore Canyon is the second largest canyon is Arizona and offers hikers plenty of solitude and natural beauty. The Equestrian Center is nestled in the beautiful foothills of San Dimas with many equestrian scenic trails and is also part of the Horsethief Canyon … We went all the way to the Trail Head at Central and enjoyed wonderful views.

For people who would like only a short and/or easy hike, the Sycamore Canyon Fireroad from the campground and the Satwiwa area at the north end provide lots of choices. So many routes and trails. Heard from locals that there have been many break ins lately. I hit this trail going up the Hill past the nature center and came back around and it's got some pretty tough trails enjoyed it though and really love the zoom trail right past the homes on the left.Mountain bike trails are awesome for something so close.Great hiking for adults not kid friendly no shade,place is over grown but very nice. From the Barton trail head it was downhill and beautiful.

Easy and mainly flat trail to Sycamore Cove Beach in Malibu.

Gotta Love Syc-amor Canyon. I would say easy trail not moderate one.

The Sycamore Canyon Wilderness Northeastern Trail System is on Flagstaff Ranger District. Bring your SPF and your bug spray! Sycamore Canyon trails are very accessible. This trail I took was on the East and wrapped around back towards the middle of the Canyon with some nice whips and good climbs with great shoots. All ground water should always be treated or filtered.Wilderness areas are rare, wild places set aside by Congress where the land is allowed to retain its natural state, serving as a natural haven for humans to escape modern civilization and for nature to be itself.


onto this road, you have the option of turning right onto the Sage Trail . Good family trail, our young kids were able to complete this hike with almost no help.

Sycamore Canyon is sick with trails. Sad but true! Eight miles each way, if starting from Satwiwa in Newbury Park. No shade!This was my first ride at Sycamore Canyon.
