Overall, I would recommend this campground, especially if you can stay in Loop C. It's a beautiful location and we found it was a great location to see all other attractions. We were there during 4th of July week and it wasn't full. I camp a lot and am a pit-toilet veteran, however the stench of these facilities was so bad that on a few occasions, we could smell it from our site. We recommend Osprey Trail. This campground is nestled in forested area along the south shore of Pactola Reservoir, offering guests lake views and access to a multitude of recreational opportunities both on land and water. We will not return to this campsite, there are lots of other options.Pactola Reservoir Campground is a beautiful campground and the perfect place to stay near Mt. Yeah, us too. Our kids had a lot of luck fishing in the reservoir -- caught many trout and rock bass.

This site wouldn't be a great tent site, but perfect for a small camper. There was also firewood for sale from the host for $5/bundle. Depending on which attractions you are seeing, some can be about 45 minutes away, but it's a beautiful drive no matter where you go from this campground.My dad and I stayed at this campground for 2 nights in mid-August.
