Pickens High School was founded in 1870 as Pickens Institute. Additions and renovations throughout the 1980s and 1990s have improved the look of the school and increased the size of the facility. Efforts to raise money to keep the school were unsuccessful. We're an independent nonprofit that provides parents with in-depth school quality information.
