Otherwise, this sounds like a hardware issue, especially if it was not resolved after Resetting Windows 10. It had been showing 100% before tablet was unattached to check which battery was which. whilst if I removed the PSU the laptop would not switch off. If you’re having problems charging your Surface Book, make sure the screen is fully attached to the keyboard. What occurs now is that whilst charging the battery 2 I have switching off of the laptop (based on the event report with Kernel 41 critical error). Protect Yourself From Tech Support Scams
Its better to buy a used performance base one on ebay and at least I could get better gpu...Really I dont know where I should ask assistance to fix it without having to pay a lot of money. I wiped every connection down

Thanks for your feedback, it helps us improve the site.After Windows update on/around 20th September 2018 battery 1 has stopped charging AND if I unplugged the PSU the surface book would switch off. in the UK like me they will charge you £500 for a replacement. Op, were you able to find a solution? I couldn't detach the screen due to low battery. All bases had the same issue - Battery 2: Not present. We will have to perform further troubleshooting. I don't think these refurbished units will ever work properly.

The replacement won't fix the underlying fault, and they only give a 90 day warranty, so it is likely that the problem will happen again.You can test the connections by 'twisting' the top of the tablet part whilst the Surface Book is on charge.
